Webcomics: An unexpected way to share a funny dream I had
Webcomics: An unexpected way to share a funny dream I had

I woke up Friday morning laughing. My usual state is a cloud of grogginess and irritation that I have to wake up at all, but Friday night, I experienced one of my weirdest dreams ever.

I like to write down my dreams so I can remember them. Some even become short stories for ideas that I want to turn into novellas. They are mini-writing exercises within themselves.

This time, I decided to draw out my dream. I am a terrible drawer, but after receiving a suggestion from a friend that draws webcomics, I decided to give it a try.

After doing some research, I learned that you need to tell the story in four or one frame to make it effective. My initial draft came out to thirteen. Needless to say, I revised it almost that many times over before settling on four frames.

Challenging myself to get a story across in limited frames honed the reminder that I need less description than I think I do, even in my writing.

So, without further ado, please find the first (and last) webcomic I will ever draw.
